Frequently Asked Questions

What can CarClimb do?

CarClimb enables owners, buyers and enthusiasts of classic, sports and luxury cars, to learn the genuine valuation and price trend of cars, and load more useful features for specialist car lovers.

What is the CarClimb Garage?

The Garage allows owners of classic, sports and luxury cars to upload details of their car or their entire car collection, and easily track the values as they change over time.

Owners are also alerted when the insured value of their car is less than the current market value. With some values rising rapidly, it’s vital owners keep on top of their insured value, so if they were to lose the car while it’s under-insured they could be financially worse off.

What is the CarClimb Watchlist?

The Watchlist is for prospective buyers, from here they can monitor price trends and the latest valuations of classic, sports and luxury cars.

Watchers are alerted when values of cars of interest to them change, so they can be informed of the best time to make a purchase of their dream car.

How are the values on CarClimb generated?

At CarClimb, we are extremely proud of our world-leading price trend dataset, that powers the valuations you see on your Watchlist and Garage. We generate these values using the world’s largest database of sold prices for cars and incorporate industry-leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) mechanisms to ensure our values are always the most accurate.

Where does the value data come from?

The CarClimb dataset is gathered from over 110 sources from around the globe. Genuine sold price data is collected from many sources, including all the best quality auction houses (offline and online).

Why are car values from CarClimb more accurate than checking classifieds?

CarClimb only uses genuine sold prices from around the world, rather than any ‘For Sale’ prices, which can vary wildly from the true sale price of a vehicle.

CarClimb data is the most accurate way to understand the value of your classic car, sports car or prestige car due to the variety of data sources we collect our information from.
